digital camera pixtures

Thursday, August 17th, 02000

I've put up the first pictures I took with my digital camera. Nothing really cool. A lot of randomness. I had to use a windows box to extract the pictures from the compact flash memory:(.

I think the thing will take really good pictures once I read the users manual.

wednesday ramblings

Wednesday, August 16th, 02000

Last night it was finally cool. Boy did I sleep well. The rest of the week looks good too. Lows in the mid 60s.

My new digital camera arrived here today. In Ames that is. I gotta wait till tomorrow morning to pick it up from UPS. I hate that.

http://www.dcresource.com/ has a good review of my Nikon Coolpix 990 vs the Olympus C-3030Z.

My new roommate, Brett Flynn, is a dork. Check out his lame webpage.

Spenser has been gone for more than a week. I got a post card from him. I think he's going insane.

stuff

Monday, August 14th, 02000

Read this.

How old is this page? Note the links to akebono.stanford.edu/yahoo/. I remember going to akebono.stanford.edu. I think Brad Hein showed me it first.

It's as hot as Hades and has been for the past few weeks. My central air is broken and I don't feel like forking over the cabbage to fix it. Things wouldn't be so bad if the climate controls at work weren't set to arctic temps. It's difficult to adjust to sleeping in 85 degrees when you'vebeen working all day in 65.

I've added more pictures and added some descriptions to the July 2000, Lake Trout fishing on Dubawant Lake in Nunavut Canada page.

Lasik

Monday, August 14th, 02000

I need new glasses. They're really scratched and I think a new perscription is in order. It seems my glasses always are scratched , broke, or bent.

Screw glasses.

I have a pre-Lasik consultation next Tuesday.

New Photos

Saturday, August 12th, 02000

I've put up some of the photos from my trip to Lake Dubant last month.

me with trout

I've got a bunch more to scan yet and will give each picture a full description after I get them all up.
