Also aide.
Other tools I need to add to the network:
perlmonth has some articles on HTML::Template and HTML::Mason that I have to read.
# rootprompt.org is elite.
Slashdot has a story on alternative wireless networks. This stuff has been around for a long time with packet radio and has been something I've wanted to for years. This article gets me really excited about it.
I can see without glasses. Kind of.
It's very humid today. The temp is in the 90s. Next week should be getting back to low 70s.
I know much more Python that I did yesterday.
Tommorow I get eye surgery.
Stop many buffer overflow exploits from being possible on Linux.
Working on bringing perfectioncrane.com up to date.
www.adventurecycling.org's Northern Tier Bicycle Route calls me. Spenser is about done with half of it. He's went from Iowa to Washington.
Use your Linux webcam as a motion detector.
What was I thinking..
Lots of free go software that runs on Unix.
For the paranoid: Spy and
Counterspy
Unigraphics Solutions Inc. buys Engineering Animation, Inc. for $205 million or $13.75 per share.
The weather today.. sublime. After yesterday's hellish temps, fall has arrived.
The Game Go. I wish there was a linux version.
There's a patent on a tattooed bar code to verify a person's identity. Bruce Schneier wonders if Revelation 13:16-18 is prior art.
Go anti-patents!
Didn't get to the Pookey Bleum show on friday. I gotta catch the next show in
Ames.
Went riding at the Greenbelt near McFarland Park yesterday. Good single track there (good for around here at least). Hotter than hell though.... 90s. I wish the weather that is supposed to come with September would come. Found a great site dealing with Iowa off road biking. Also found ridemidwest.com
Got a lot of stuff done around the hose... Took clothes and other junk to goodwill, cleaned, etc.
I've started to systematically convert all of my CDs into MP3. A few months from now and $400 worth of harddrives later I should be set.. I've been doing A-B comparisions on my Hi-FI between CD and MP3. The 160 bit with VBR MP3's encoded with lame do very well. More on this later. Now if I just had an empg.
I'd like to go backpacking in Iowa's Yellow River State Forest this October. The Northwest (of the USA, not Iowa) is clearly the place to be for hiking... check cooltrails.com.
Luke moved to Justin's place (the Medulla house) last week. Only one roomate
now. I get an office and a bedroom again.
