Coronado State Monument and Snowy Sandia Peak
Friday, November 26th, 02004Today's activities included a trip to the Coronado State Monument (lame), followed by a drive up the unmaintained, snow-covered, rutted, and precariously slippery Placitas backroad to the North Sandia Peak:

Although it was 45 in Albuquerque today, the temperature was barely above 20° F at Sandia Peak's 10,378 ft. of elevation:

On the way back down on the easy paved road, we got stuck after I asked to stop so I could take a picture of this this sign:

Luckily, a kind dude in a big truck stopped to pull us out.
I didn't buy anything today. My position is on this day of mega shopping is not quite like this, but deciededly not like this. I can't take the crowds, don't understand the strong holiday/shopping correlation, am not suckered by "deals", and would rather shop (when required) in peace.
