Description:
Minneapolis Moline Cab Tractor purchased by the Rau Brothers (Carl and Walter) in 1939. Carl took the bus from Watertown, SD to Minneapolis, MN to pick it up. Drove back to SD at 40 mph, the running gear of the tractor. Only a few were made because, the Jeep Company claimed the Moline Complany violated patent rights in building this tractor. It served the Rau Brothers well and Carl took very good care of it keeping it the shed or barn when not in use. It was used until the early 70's when it was retired because tires were difficult to obtain. It had a heater, fan, windows that opened, two seats, Rodney and Berta Lea often ran to the edge of the yard when
Carl was returning from the field to get a ride to the barn. The dog, "Nicky" always rode with Carl in the Cab. The tractor was sold by son Rodney in the 80's to a man from ND.
